The peace, quiet and serenity of the farm could not be felt reading the advert, it had to be experienced to be believed.

Review:
The accommodation (as the owners obviously set out to do) is very much a home from home. There are little or no restrictions. The sitting room is furnished tastefully and is very comfortable. Importantly, the beds are extremely comfortable. One didn’t get the usual having to get used to a strange bed before getting a good night’s sleep.

Specifically Recommend:
Anyone looking for complete peace, quiet and tranquility surrounded by wonderful countryside as well as the beautiful gardens at the farm then this is the place for them. Robin and Jenny Downer live on site and are always available in case of advice, assistance etc. We would recommend any one of the four delightfully refurbished cottages to anyone.

Be Aware:
There is absolutely nothing that springs to mind. In our view this is as near a perfect holiday retreat as it is possible to find.

Local Gems:
Typical olde-worlde tea shoppe in the village of Berrynarbour is a must visit. As Middle Lee Farm is virtually equi-distant between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin - the jewel of a small beach at Combe Martin - where the crowds do not gather and where the small bay affords a wonderful uninterrupted panoramic view of the sea is also a must.

En Route:
Unfortunately M5 travelling necessitated motorway services but, having said that, the service area at Sedgemoor is one of the best we have ever encountered.
Sum It Up:
Couldn’t possibly have been bettered and we shall certainly make a return visit to Middle Lee Farm next year.
