We entered a beautiful House & Gardens decor to be greeted by the lovely Sophie who asked (in advance) what we wanted for cooked breakfast. We got lots of eggs and smoked salmon & bread, scones, wine, fruit & cheese, cereal and chocolate in the kitchen, bedroom and dinning room! Plus bathrobes and slippers, toiletries, it just went on, we wanted for nothing. Where the cottage is in the middle of the old part on a delightful quaint hill-street amongst individual local shops and cafes. We would stumble out of the cottage and roll into a cafe in the morning & read papers, lunch in the main street with a stream running down the centre! Walk round this lovely old town looking at architecture, wander into the country for an afternoon walk and dine at the local restaurants in the evening or go to the Arts Centrecinema. We also saw the Frome festival! It was amazing & so funny. Caught the train into Bath and just had one of the most pampered and relaxed holidays ever. We rarely go back to a place twice but this just had to be done again.

Specifically Recommend:
|
Everything. The cottage, its situation in the old quaint hill part of Frome, the town and its lovely achitecture, local old towns to visit by bus, Bath a train ride away, walks in the countryside, local shops, cafes, restaurants, Art centres. It’s a great car-free holiday. Peace, quiet, fun, beauty and a candlelit bath for two

Be Aware:
|
You can’t park your car near the cottage. But we didn’t find it a problem
