Exceed Expectations?

We were hugely impressed by the level of service and welcome that we received from the hosts - Bridget and Keith - who went the extra mile to ensure that we had a great time without overwhelming us. The kitchen is fabulous - its better than being at home!

Review:
A really massive living roomdinerkitchen with plenty of space for the most active of families. The double bedroom is a generous size and was perfect for us as we brought our baby and travel cot. The kids used the twin bedroom which they tell me had lovely comfy beds. There is a bathroom with shower and a separate loo with wash basin. It is a pleasant setting with dedicated garden area and bar-b-que.

Specifically Recommend:
The adjacent tea room on site (Spillers Farm Tea Room) is second-to-none and provides breakfasts, lunches and fabulous Devon cream teas! (sounds like an advert!!) It is level accommodation with easy access for anyone with a disability. There is a pack of info in the cottage with local places of interest and eateries.
Be Aware:
A gorgeous lake is on the grounds. (See photo below of the owners dog Merryck with our children). Its access is through a gate, but children need to be supervised in that area, for obvious reasons of safety.

Could Provide:
It was all there - towels, soap, washing-up-liquid, board games, books!

Local Gems:

The Golden Hind pub do a good range of early evening meals for the family at a reasonable cost. They are just down the road.
