We had seen photos of the cottage in an article in the travel section of The Guardian newspaper and on the website. It was even better in real life.

Review:
Trehilyn Farm was bought and the house restored by Griff Rhys Jones and is run by Under the Thatch - an ethical holiday company. The house itself has been restored using traditional methods and materials - documented in a BBC Wales programme. The history is fascinating. It is decorated with gorgeously simple style, clean lines, no fuss, very peaceful and relaxing. A traditional farmhouse with all mod cons - luxury fittings and wonderfully comfy beds set in the most glorious and unspoilt countryside. A few minutes’ walk takes you to the Pembrokeshire Coastal path and nearby Strumble Head. A short drive to beaches, St. David’s, excellent food and more and more unspoilt beauty.

Specifically Recommend:
Peace and quiet. Excellent walking. A warm, comfortable and very beautiful home.
Be Aware:
Sleeping accommodation is up very steep ladder-type stairs in traditional crog-lofts. Not for the infirm, very young or faint-hearted!
